你是怎样加入Queer As Folk的？
I arrived in Queer As Folk (when) I was just graduated from theatre school. I was doing some theatre in the regions. And my agent got me an audition, I was put on tape like this, in New York, and then flown to LA twice to meet with the producers, to audition with the producers, and meet with other actors. I think by the time I was flying out the second visit I knew I got the role.
I read with two potential Brian. I read with Gale and with another man for Brian. Just one time though.
I knew of it I read about it but I have not seen it before we start shooting.
我加入QAF的时候刚刚从戏剧学校毕业，那时我正在做一些戏剧的工作。后来我的经理人为我拿到了QAF的试镜机会，我要坐在摄像机前，像现在这样，在纽约拍下试镜的片段；然后又飞去洛杉矶两次和制片人开会，去试镜还有认识其他演员。我想在我第二次飞过去的时候我已经拿到了Justin这个角色。

I think the whole series for Justin is about him becoming a man, becoming an adult, becoming independent, making decisions for himself, learning how to stand up for himself. I mean his journey is definitely really really specific and important, it’s about moving from being a child to being an adult.
Sometimes I mean, their version is very very strong, but it was some of a collaborative, you know at the end of every season we had a meeting and they talked about ideas that they have for the next season and they listened input you had what you were most excited about your character potentially.
我想在整部剧中Justin都在不断成长，不断长大，变得独立和拥有自己的主张，学会怎去捍卫自己。我觉得他的旅程是非常典型和重要的，从一个男孩成长为男人的过程。
（关于英版）他们的版本很好，但（美版QAF）是整个剧组努力的成果，在每一季结束的时候我们都会开会讨论，编剧会告诉我们他们对下一季有什么想法，他们也会听我们的反馈和对角色的见解。
Les scenes de sexe étaient-elles difficiles à tourner?
性爱的场面会很难拍吗？
No, I mean first, they were never hard.
It’s funny I think the more erotic sex scenes that look to the audience is like the last erotic scenes we’re shooting. It’s such technical work we spent months shooting it, it’s like a dance. It’s very like “we need to get this shoot, we need this movement”, it’s not an erotic experience. It’s really technical it took long at the beginning cuz we haven’t done it we did’t work comfortable with each other yet, the directors weren’t sure how to shoot it, but then you know halfway through that series it was like we know exactly what we needed, it was quick and easy.

有趣的是我想在观众看来比较情色的情节，在拍摄的时候都是最不情色的。因为他们很专业，像拍摄一场舞蹈那样，他们告诉我们“我们要怎样拍，你们要怎么做”，所以拍起来我不感觉它是情色的。整个过程很专业，虽然刚开始有点困难因为我们彼此不熟悉，导演们还不确定到底应拍成怎样，但到了第一季中间的时候，一切都顺其自然不成问题了，我们一拍即合，过程变得轻松和有效率。

My favorite is still the end of first season. The dance, the prom, you know from the dance to the end… yah, I love it, you know it’s so fun to rehearse the dance with the dance teacher, it’s really fun to shoot.
我最喜欢的还是第一季最后那里。毕业舞会上跳舞那段，从跳舞一直到最后…没错，我很喜欢。排练的时候真的非常有趣，那一幕真的很好玩。

I don’t remember anything he said. I don’t remember any specific line, actually at all. (think) yah I don’t remember any line specific…

Qu’est-ce que ca vous fait d’être ici 3 ans après la fin de QAF?
这是QAF完结三年后你来到巴黎吗？
It’s funny it’s a bit like a timework since I finished shooting I haven’t got much about it. But then this opportunity came to come to France which I always love doing so it suddenly being gloss in my face it’s fascinating. It’s funny I have a different relationsip to it now than I did.
是的在QAF完结后我没有太多出席太多关于它的活动。但这个机会来了我来到法国，我一直喜欢来这里，所以我就来了，一切都很棒。现在我和它有着不一样的联系。
Queer As Folk a-t-elle eu un impact politique en faveur des gays?
QAF给同性恋们带来了政治上的影响吗？
Hm…I don’t know if the show itself did, but I’d like to know that people watched this show became more involved politically in the issues that this show brought up. And hopefully those people who are more engaged because of the show had changed politics.
Hm…我不知道这部剧本身是否带来影响，但如果人们因为看了这部剧而对里面所反映的问题在政治上更加关心的话，这是值得高兴的。希望那些因此而更关心的朋友可以改变到政治环境。
Les enjeux seraient-ils les même si la série était tournée aujourd’hui?

I think it would change, the culture in the States especially about homosexuality had changed significantly in past eight years. So it would be completely different …
(in which way?)
I just think that was so significant I mean the sexuality and pilot episode that was such a big deal then, but it was not anymore. It wouldn’t be as near as relevant. And it would be different the politics especially regarding gay marriage is changing so fast state by state. It depends it’s still relevant the Proposition. But ah…it’d be acknowledged in different way right now.

I created a non-for-profit art organization with my friends called the Arts Bureau. Our intention initially was to creat theatre because most of us are theater actors, but it ended up being much easier to create films. We created a short last winter that’s been shown in some festivals in the States, and over the summer we shot our first feature. And now we’re in the process of raising money in order to finance postproduction to get it edited to get the sound in. It was created so that me and my friends, we’re actors we’re working, could have more power to create our own specific work between jobs…and made the kind of work we wanted. It’s just selfish…
